Sony Computer Entertainment has announced the Wonderbook, a new augmented reality experience designed to bring the world of books to life using PlayStation Move.

The new Wonderbook will launch with Book of Spells, a new title from JK Rowling's Pottermore. The book features exclusive new writing from Rowling, and turns the PlayStation Move controller into a wand.

The book teaches players spells from the Harry Potter series, as if a student at Hogwarts.

Another title coming to Wonderbook is Diggs Nightcrawler, a film noir detective story from interactive story make Moonbot.

It's clearly aimed for kids, but an on-stage E3 demo showed a pretty advanced augmented reality.

Wonderbook Book of Spells will be released this autumn.
