Naughty Modern Warfare 3 players are being stung by a 5000-day ban, equating to approximately 13 and a half years.

Banned players are greeted with the following message: "[User] has been temporarily banned from playing on the Call of Duty: MW3 servers."

The ban isn't so temporary though, with users banned today unable to play Modern Warfare 3 online until August 2025.

And the bans are real too, Infinity Ward community Strategist Robert Bowling has confirmed on Twitter: "Player Banned for 5000 days?! Yes. If you see this message, it means you've been Permabanned (for something bad)."
